Supporting Natural Disaster Victims

In the last years, many European countries have been hit by natural disasters

In Austria, heavy thunderstorms and rainfalls hit the country. Slovenia experienced its worst flood disaster since records began. There were evacuated villages, a dam burst and historic flood damage in two thirds of the country, as well as a dozen deaths. After the devastating forest fires, the largest in Greece's history, this country was also hit by a flood disaster with many dead and missing. And we all remember the terrifying pictures from the earthquake that happened in Turkyie in February 2023.

Our project aims to prepare citizens with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively assist disaster survivors, fostering empathy, self-care, and community resilience. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness about the potential for traumatization among victims of natural disasters.
